The Good: 

Shein is a global fashion company that functions entirely online. Shein has endless options for toddler clothing. You can shop online all day and probably have more to look through the next day. I’ve ordered from Shein for my toddler several times and have yet to be displeased with one of my orders. I am always surprised by how nice the items are for the affordable prices. The toddler clothes and accessories are of good quality. They offer similar items to Amazon, but for cheaper prices. 

Shein’s clothing options are very on-trend. So if you want your little one to rock the latest trends…Shein has it! I like this aspect because things you can’t find in your department store, you can find on Shein…and you don’t have to drive to the store to get them. 

The prices are reasonable and there are often promotions for free shipping or discounts. These are the best times to shop! 

The return policy if the clothing doesn’t fit or the quality is poor is also great. They offer free returns and the process is easy. I have returned several things over the last time two years with no issue at all getting my money back. 

The Not So Good: 

If you don’t order when there is a free-shipping promotion, you have to order enough merchandise to be eligible for free shipping. Regular shipping will likely take about two weeks. This can be a major setback if you need the outfit quickly for a special occasion. You can choose faster shipping, but it will cost more.

I dislike paying for shipping, so I often get sucked into whatever promotion allows me to get free shipping. 

The clothing at The Children’s Place is good quality and holds up to consistent washing. Which we do a lot of. I also like that they offer family pajamas or outfits. This fall they offer themes like football season, pumpkin patch, Christmas, and more.

They run weekly promotions that make shopping there worthwhile. They also always have end-of-season clearance deals you can’t beat. 

Although I’ve never made a return with The Children’s Place, they have a pretty good return policy. They accept unworn merchandise with the tag attached for 45 days with the packing slip. 

The Not So Good: 

The styles at the Children’s place are limited. For example, if you don’t like the style of their t-shirts, you likely won’t like any of the t-shirts and long sleeve shirts. While colors and graphics may change. The shirt style and fabric are often the same. I wish the opening for the head was more stretchy. It would make it easier to go on and off of my growing toddler. Sometimes I size up for this reason.

The clothing at Target is very good quality for your little one.

The return policy is 90 days on most unused items. If there is an exception it is usually noted on your invoice when you make your purchase. The date of your shipment starts the 90 days. You can return target merchandise through the mail or in-store.

Target offers free shipping for orders over $35. This is great because you can get to your total easily as Target offers so many more items to purchase include, including accessories, groceries, diapers, and much more.

Inexpensive toddler clothes are still good quality at Walmart. The sweatpants and sweatshirts run very true to size. They hold up to many washes before showing signs of wear. In recent years, Walmart has started offering some pricier toddler outfits, which have even better quality. Although compared to the basics at Walmart, the pricier outfits are still pretty budget-friendly.

If you are a Walmart+ member shipping is free with no minimum purchase. If you’re not a member, shipping is free at $35. This is very reasonable because many sites want a $75 purchase before offering customers free shipping.  

By now, everyone probably knows about Walmart’s return policy, but you have 90 days to return clothes with a receipt for a full refund. You can return it by mail or return it to your local Walmart.

The Not So Good:

Very stretchy clothing, like pajama tops and bottoms, I would recommend sizing up. This type of fabric never fits my son’s true size.

With Amazon Prime, shipping is free with no minimum purchase and it’s normally two days. If you don’t have prime you must have a minimum of $25 to be eligible for free shipping. 

Amazon’s return policy is one of the best online stores in general. As long as you buy items sold by Amazon you are usually covered with free returns. If the listing doesn’t say sold by Amazon, I would be weary. Just like Walmart, individual sellers will have to be dealt with. I have done this on occasion and often regret it.

Amazon has a try-before-you-buy option for Prime members that allow you to try on up to  5 clothing or shoe items before you commit to buying. This is great for toddler clothes! And if some don’t fit you just return and you’re only charged for what you keep!
