Rocksbox Jewelry Subscription Review – Is it worth it?

Rocksbox Jewelry Subscription Review

I tried out this subscription and here’s my honest Rocksbox jewelry subscription review.

Rocksbox is a monthly subscription of jewelry selections picked for you by a Rocksbox stylist. Jewelry selections are based on your wish list and style profile. The $21.00 subscription fee includes shipping and returns. The great part is if you purchase anything out of the box, the subscription fee is used as credit toward your new jewelry purchase. However if you don’t use it, it does not carry over to the next month. You will receive three pieces of jewelry to try on each month. These selections may include earrings, bracelets or necklaces that typically range from $29 to $100.

**I received a bracelet and two pairs of earrings. The prices ranged from $36 to $55**

The Very Simple Process

The process for the Rocksbox jewelry subscription is rather simple. You sign up on the Rocksbox website and fill in a style profile to help the stylist get an idea of what you like. You can put your top picks in order to show what you want to try on the most. Then, you’ll receive an email telling you that your Rocksbox has been completed. If you want it to be a surprise, you don’t have to do anything else. However, if you’re curious, you may want to peek at your Rocksbox and see if you are interested in the selections. Before shipment, you will receive a notification that your set will be shipping in 24 hours. You have the option to swap the entire order or pieces you don’t want.

**I chose to swap two of my items for something I preferred, before my box shipped.**

First thoughts

I must say that when I received my box of goodies, I was rather excited. The presentation of Rocksbox is splendid. The sturdy little blue box with the pretty pink ribbon made it look very professional and classy. Inside the box were three small soft blue pouches with drawstring ribbon; each one containing jewelry. All of my items were high quality and fashionable.

**I chose to keep a set of gold hoop earrings that were $36**

Final Thoughts

Rocksbox jewelry subscription review.

While Rocksbox has some trendy and cute jewelry, it also claims to save you money. Unfortunately, I don’t know how true that is. To me it seems like you would actually spend more money than you would on a normal shopping trip. This is due to the $21 you will pay even if you don’t keep any of the items. After a year of the subscription you will pay $252 on subscription fees. If you purchase something every month, your expenses will go up significantly. I think this subscription would be better if they’d send one option that is priced under the $21 subscription fee. That way, if you choose to buy you have the option without increasing your monthly cost. Another thing I would like is partial rollover credit ($12) if you don’t buy anything.

A good way around spending more money than you want is to put your account on hold for three to six months. This will save your subscription, but give you a break from the constant fees and the temptation to buy over $100 worth of jewelry each month. This box is great for someone who consistently buys jewelry or likes to keep up with the latest trends. I would also recommend it for those who don’t like the experience called shopping.

Overall, its worth a try. The best thing about the Rocksbox is you can cancel for free anytime.

I hope my Rocksbox jewelry subscription review was helpful!! If you tried the Rocksbox subscription before, let me know if you enjoyed your experience. Do you think it’s worth it? How was their customer service?

Thanks for your review. I like your critical stance. Personally, I’d prefer to go to a store and shop in person, try on things in front of a friend or sister, and talk to the sales representative. Jewelry is something very personally, and I wouldn’t enjoy somebody I don’t know to pick it out for me, even if I can swap it if I don’t like it. And who needs something new every months? 😉

Yeah, that’s true. Since Covid I haven’t had much need for new jewelry & accessories.
